UNICEF Rights
Respecting Schools Award
We are working towards becoming a UNICEF Rights Respecting School. The award recognises a school's dedication to promoting the rights of young learners and to creating a safe and inspiring place to learn, where children are respected.
At Greenfield Primary School, we have a group of eager, community-focused pupils – our ‘Rights Knights’ – who work with our staff to help our children and parents understand what children’s rights are and why they are so important.
In just one term, we have achieved our first award and we are now a
UNICEF 'Bronze - Rights Committed’ school.
This means that our whole school community is committed to making sure that all our children can access the rights agreed in the UNCRC (United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child).

We are now working hard towards achieving the next stage of ‘UNICEF Silver- Rights Aware’; our assessment for this by UNICEF is already in the diary for the end of June.
Then the next step will be achieving the ultimate goal of ‘UNICEF Gold- Rights Respecting’ in 2027!!
