Here is our online learning from Education City
Head to classwork and look what has been set for your child.
This week we are refreshing some of the sounds that we have already learnt - how many can you remember? There are also some activity sheets set - don't worry if you can't print these, just have a look at there content and see what you can do!
Read the story 'Whatever Next' by Jill Murphy. Can you retell the story yet?
Ask what happens at the beginning of the story, middle and end of the story? Discuss what baby does on the moon. What would you do if you went to the moon?
This week we would like you to write about your adventure on the moon. In class we have introduced red word I in our sentence. For example I met a friend. I had a snack. I played a game. Try to write your sentences down.
Can you use recognisable letters? Have you used your sounds? Don’t forget to send us your work!
This week’s sounds can be found on Education City.
Click through and learn the new sound of the day! Don’t forget to complete the reading challenge too!
This week in maths we will be looking at showing numbers in different ways, using cubes. Have a look at the numberblocks episode linked below:
Can you use two, three, four or five cubes (these could be real or drawn) to show numbers in different ways? Remember - sometimes the cubes may look like they are making a different shape, when really they are just facing a different way!
Don't forget to send us any work that you do - we'd love to see!
