They have updated these lessons to include word time for set 1 speed sounds and spelling for set 2 and 3.

There is also “Storytime with Nick” three times a week (Mon, Wed & Fri at 2pm) and some poems that your child can learn and perform.

SPaG

I have attached a SPaG mat below for you to complete.

Here is a link to practise using your sounds to read words, sort the coins in to real words and alien words for the pirate. https://www.ictgames.com/mobilePage/poopDeck/index.html

Literacy

Mr Gumpy decided to go for a ride in his motor car. It was a nice day and the sun was shining. But he only got as far as the lane before the children, the rabbit, the cat, the dog, the pig, the sheep, the chickens, the calf and the goat asked if they could go as well. But when it rained and the car got stuck nobody would volunteer to help push the car out of the mud. They had lots of excuses!

Can you match the excuses to the correct animal on the worksheet below?

Imagine there were some different animals in the car with Mr Gumpy. What would their excuse be for not helping Mr Gumpy push the car out of the mud? Write some speech bubbles telling me what they would say?

Maths

G/Y/R/O groups:

For our maths warm up let’s test those brains with some take away questions, can you complete the challenge by answering the questions in 2 minutes? https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/subtraction-grids

Your learning for today is to fill in the missing part. We are going to cover part-whole models, pictures and maths sentences. You are going to have to count the overall amount first and then take off the amount you have been given to find that missing amount.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.

Blue group:

Let’s start off by adding amounts. Can you read the maths sentence and count the animals carefully?

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/addition/addition-to-10

Your learning today is to count on to find one more than a given number. Use the number line at the top of the page to help you.

Art

This week we are continuing our learning about sculptures. This week we are learning about Andy Goldsworthy. He is a British artist famous for his sculptures created from nature. Today you are going to create your own land art. Watch the powerpoint I’ve attached and then go on a hunt for your natural objects. You can create your art inside or outside. Take a photo and send it to us with a few sentences about what you used, what shapes you used and what colours you used. Have fun, I look forward to seeing how creative you get with your land art.
