Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Wednesday

Good morning. Here is another warm up to get us started today.

"Dance Monkey" Zumba Kids Choreography

Reading

Year 1

Today you are going to be reading the story of Rapunzel. Do you know this story?

Read the story and then answer the questions.

Year 2

Today you are going to read a story about a bear who came to babysit. I think the children in the story are quite shocked to have a bear looking after them! Read the story to find out what happens and then answer the questions.

Maths

Year 1

Today you are going to carry on revising length.

Can you remember when we learnt to use a ruler to measure objects? We can use a ruler to measure how long or tall objects are. We measure in centimetres (cms)

Watch the video to remind yourself about how to use a ruler correctly and then complete your learning.

Literacy

Today we are going to be carrying on writing seaside poems. Today you are going to write a pyramid poem. This is a pyramid.

Have a look at the example of a pyramid poem on the power point and see if you can work out why it is called a pyramid poem. Today you are going to need adjectives (describing words) and verbs (action words) to write your poem. Remember to follow the pattern in the example on the power point.

Geography

We have learnt about the seven continents and the five oceans. Today we are going to revise the five oceans. Can you remember the names of any of the oceans?

I would like you to join in the lesson with Miss Harris and find out about the oceans of the world.

You will need a piece of paper, a writing pencil and a coloured pencil.

At the end of the lesson, you might like to try getting a bowl of water to see if you can make waves! Let me know how you do!

I have also attached a map of the world where you can label the five oceans of the world.
