Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Wednesday 25th March 2020

Hello again Dahl class, I hope you're all safe and well! It has been lovely to hear from some of you and your families today, via our class email. Just a reminder that, if you haven't already, it would be useful for you to contact me on the email address with your child's name so that I can give you your child's account details and groups for different subjects. Thank you!laugh

SPaG

For your SPaG activity today, I have set you all up with a task to complete on SPaG.com. If you haven’t already, please email me to find out your child’s credentials for SPaG.com.

Maths

ROYG - Today you will be learning to make a whole. Remember that a fraction has two numbers ½ a top number (a numerator), the bottom number (a denominator). The top number shows me how many parts have been coloured and the bottom number tells me how many parts there are altogether.  So, if I bought a chocolate bar that had 10 chunks and I ate 9 of them, I would have eaten 9/10 of the chocolate bar. Attached is a PowerPoint to work through with an adult so that you understand the methods for working out the answers. Once you have worked through the PowerPoint, you must have a go at answering the questions independently (ask an adult for help if you get stuck).

B2 - Today you will be learning to make equal groups. Remember, for groups to be equal, there must be the same amount in each group. Attached is a PowerPoint to work through with an adult so that you understand the methods for working out the answers. Once you have worked through the PowerPoint, you must have a go at answering the questions independently (ask an adult for help if you get stuck).

PSHE

During this week’s PSHE task, you will be learning how to be a good friend. Work through the attached PowerPoint with an adult and discuss the features of how to be a good friend and what a good friend looks like. Once you have done this, look at the sorting document and discuss with an adult whether the different scenarios show being friendly or unfriendly.

Storytime

The Sheep Pig - Chapter 4

For today's storytime, you will listen to an audio clip of chapter 4. Listen carefully because you will be reading chapter 5 for Reciprocal Reading tomorrow.
