I hope that you are all well and are enjoying your time at home with your families. Thank you so much to those of you that emailed me over the last few days. I have really enjoyed reading your emails and looking at the photographs of your learning tasks. It makes me happy seeing your work and how well you are all doing at home whilst we cannot be together during these sad times. Well done to those of you who are waking up and working hard, everyday!
I urge those of you who I have not heard from yet to email me ASAP because one of today's tasks requires you to login to SPaG.com to complete a grammar learning activity. Therefore, you will need to email me so that you can receive your logins.
I look forward to hearing from you all! Stay safe and keep learning!
For your SPaG activity today, I have set you all up with a task to complete on 'SPaG.com.' If you haven’t already, please email me to find out your child’s credentials for SPaG.com.
Today you will be learning to make a whole. Remember that a fraction has two numbers ½ a top number (a numerator), the bottom number (a denominator). The top number shows me how many parts have been coloured and the bottom number tells me how many parts there are altogether. So, if I bought a chocolate bar that had 10 chunks and I ate 9 of them, I would have eaten 9/10 of the chocolate bar. Attached is a PowerPoint to work through with an adult so that you understand the methods for working out the answers. Once you have worked through the PowerPoint, you must have a go at answering the questions independently (ask an adult for help if you get stuck).
During this week’s PSHE task, you will be learning how to be a good friend. Work through the attached PowerPoint with an adult and discuss the features of how to be a good friend and what a good friend looks like. Once you have done this, look at the sorting document and discuss with an adult whether the different scenarios show being friendly or unfriendly.
Please join me me in listening to 'The Sheep Pig' Chapter 4 as part of our story time!
I hope you enjoy!
