Reading:

This week we have been reading The Hodgeheg.  Yesterday we reached the part where Max discovers the secret of how humans can cross the road safely!

Read through the instructions - they will guide you through the activities you are going to do when you have read today’s pages (Chapter 3 -p16-22)

Writing:

This week we are reading The Hodgeheg and basing our writing on this.  We are going to write a diary entry for Max at the end of the week.

Today, we are going to learn how to write from the point of view of a character, using first person pronouns like I, me, my and mine.

Open up the resources in the section below; they will guide you through writing in the first person.  Then complete the activity that goes with it, to practise the skill . 

Maths:

This week in Maths we have been learning about fractions. Yesterday we learned how to recognise one third of a shape, object or group of objects.

Today we are going to build on this learning and show one third in different representations.

Open up the resources below.  Read through and complete the questions on the teaching powerpoint, before completing the activity sheet.

Computing:

Today in Computing we are learning to add to and create a program.  This might be tricky to complete from home, so instead, can you pleasensend us an email, telling us:

• Your idea for a computer game
• What instructions you think you would need to be able to programme the game characters to be able to do ?( walking, jumping, crouching, grabbing objects, special powers etc)
