For today’s learning we have…

RWI

Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:

Set 1 sounds at 9:30am or 12:30pm

Set 2 sounds at 10:00am or 1:00pm

Set 3 sounds at 10:30am or 1:30pm

SPaG

I have attached a SPaG mat below for you to complete.

Here is a link to practise your spellings, we are on the blue and purple (ninth and tenth) bird boxes today. https://www.ictgames.com/littleBirdSpelling/

Literacy

Today we are going to look a bit more closely at your wheeled toy. Now that you have named and labelled the different parts, I want you to complete this planning grid ready for tomorrow’s learning.

Task 1.

You have to write a prepositional word to describe where each part is on your wheeled toy. Prepositions are linking words in a sentence. We use prepositions to explain where things are in time or space. Prepositions tell us where something is (for example, beside, under, on, against, beneath or over) or when something is happening (for example: until, during, after, before or more specifically 'on Christmas Day', 'at twelve o'clock' or 'in August').

Prepositions you could use:

at the front, behind, under, over, at the side, above, below, beneath, left, right, between, next to, around

Task 2.

You also need to think of an adjective to describe the part e.g. colour, size, shape, what it feels like.

Maths

G/Y/R/O groups:

For our maths warm up let’s test those brains with filling in missing numbers: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

Read the maths question, remember your number bonds and see if you can press the number that is missing.

Your learning for today is all about arrays, these are the pictures that show repeated addition because they are in lines. I’ve attached a power point that explains arrays and then a worksheet for you to try. Green and Yellow you have one worksheet and Red and Orange group you have another worksheet.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.

Blue group:

Let’s start off by counting amounts to 10: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/underwater-counting

Your learning today is all about positional language, this is being able to talk about where an object is. You can do this at home with your toys, are they next to a chair? Are they behind the table? Are they under the TV? I have attached a worksheet for you to draw, someone can read these instructions for you and you can draw. Then there is a bingo game for you to play, remember to take turns with this activity and say where the football is on the picture you turn over.

Art

This week we are going to be learning about Michelle Reader, Michelle is an artist that lives in London and creates art using objects from around her house. Today you are going to become an artist like her. I’ve attached a powerpoint that tells you more about Michelle and gives you some ideas on what art you could create today using things from around your house. After you’ve made your piece of art, think back to science we did on Monday and talk with your grown-up or sister or brother about the materials you have used.
