Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Wednesday

Reading:

This week we have been reading Esio Trot.  Yesterday we reached the part where Mr Hoppy has had a wonderful idea to help Alfie to grow!

Open up Wednesday’s Reading resources at the end of this section:

Writing:

Yesterday we learned about imperative verbs and how to use them when we are writing instructions. Today, we are going to look at some instructions for how to build a rain-gauge, to tell us how much rain has fallen in a certain time.

We have made some resources to help you complete the activities in the video.

Go to the Writing Resources at the end of this section:

Writing - Wednesday 10.2.21- find the right activity for your group and just do this one.

Zoom Call

We are excited to be hosting another class Zoom call.

The Zoom meeting is scheduled for 11am so that we can hopefully get as many people on as possible which means you may end up doing some of your usual morning work a little later.

This week you might like to come prepared with a riddle or something fun to talk about and we can take it in turns to share with the class. (But you will not have to talk if you do not want to.)

You will need to email the class page IN ADVANCE in order to get the log-in detail (I will not post them on here as we need to keep it secure for your child's safety). When you join the call you will be on mute but I will unmute you as soon as I can see that you are ready to take part. You will need a quiet background or a pair of headphones (although last week some headphones meant we could not hear people) so that we can all hear each other without interruption.

Maths

G / Y / O

Today we will be looking at word problems, to solve these you will need to use your knowledge of multiplication from last week as we try to bring our knowledge of multiplication and division together.

Red

Today we are going to put our new knowledge of the 8 times table to the test with some word problems. Read the questions carefully as you work your way through your task.

Blue

Now that you have practiced numbers to 20, today we are going to start looking at numbers to 50.

Below is the link to a video that will help you with today’s learning. Please make sure the sound is on.

Once you have watched this video, complete your group's task. Remember you can always refer back to the video if you need to. When you have finished, get a different coloured pen and check your work with an adult using the answers provided.

Attached is a true or false question for you to look at and talk through your thoughts with an adult. Please remember you do not need to write down this answer to this unless you want to as it is just for discussion.

P.S.H.E.

In PSHE today we are looking at the life of the wonderful Captain Sir Tom Moore. There are some great resources attached below that will give you lots to think about and hopefully discuss with someone at home.

Watch the video clips (links in document) and then answer some of the related questions.
