For today’s learning we have…
RWI
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Set 1 sounds at 9:30am
Set 2 sounds at 10:00am
Set 3 sounds at 10:30am
They have updated these lessons to include word time for set 1 speed sounds and spelling for set 2 and 3.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” three times a week (Mon, Wed & Fri at 2pm) and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
Reading
Today Miss Meakin has another book for you to practise your super reading skills! This book is all about a lazy giant! What other stories do you know with a giant in them?
This book might take you longer to read. It is split up into 5 short chapters, so you could read a chapter a day. (Unless you get caught up in it, and want to finish it to see what happens!) At the back of the book it tells you a little bit about the author and there are some questions you could talk through with a grown up.
I hope you enjoy it. Let me know how you get on.

SPaG
I have attached a Grammer Hammer. The children are used to seeing these in the classroom. It covers a variety of areas that we have been learning about on our SPaG mats.
Literacy
Today you need to watch the story carefully and then see if you can answer the questions about it.
Read the words and match them to the correct picture and then answer the questions.
Maths
A game to get our brains working this morning, you have to match the pictures that are symmetrical: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/symmetry/symmetry-matching
ALL groups:
Today we are going to be measuring the length of objects using cubes. You can use lots of different things to measure length, we could use sticks, pencils, rubbers, cubes, hands or feet. Remember to count the cubes carefully. Choose the worksheet for your group:
Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.
Art
This term we have been learning about sculpture. Today we are going to learn about another sculptor who also enjoyed drawing his art. Your task today is to draw yourself or someone in your family in the style of this sculptor.
Click on the powerpoint first to learn about Amedeo Modigliani then click the worksheet to follow the instruction of drawing a face, there is an outline of a face on the last page if you would like to use it. I look forward to seeing your pictures.
