Can you think of 5 words that start with today's sound? Can you think of a word that ends with today's sound?
Today Jasper needs your help! Read the letter below to find out how you can help him!
Can you write back to Jasper and tell him what he needs to make his plant grow? Draw a picture and then write a simple sentence to explain what he needs.
Here is our example;
You will need sun to make it grow.
Alternatively you could write key words such as sun, soil.
If your child is not yet confident with numbers up to five, please go to this page:
For the rest of our maths learning this week, we are going to be learning a brand new number every day! Can you tell me what today’s number is?
It’s 6! Let’s meet Number 6, a brand new Numberblock: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08pgksd/numberblocks-series-2-six
To find out even more about the number 6, have a watch of today's learning video: https://greenfield-primary-school.primarysite.media/
We are going to use our number 6 to play a game today, using some dice. Can you remember how many sides dice have? That’s right, it’s 6! If you don’t have dice at home, follow the weblinks below to access some online:
Numeral Dice: https://www.google.com/search?q=dice+roller&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB783GB783&oq=dice+roller&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j0i131i433j0i67i395j0i395l2j0i20i263i395j0i395l4.1360j1j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Attached below is our activity today - a game that’s all about getting to the top of Jack’s Beanstalk! You can print this off if you have access to a printer or copy it on to some paper. If you’re feeling super creative, you could even design your own! Remember to carefully count on each of your turns. If you roll today’s number you can have an extra go. Have fun!
Can you name one more/one less of the numbers that you roll on your dice?
On Wednesday, he watered it…
On Wednesday Jasper gave his bean some water, to help it grow. We are going to be using water for something else today… we are going to use it to make art!
There are three different ideas of how you could make some art using water below. We would like you to pick your favourite (or favourites) and give it a try.
We would love to see pictures of any water art that you make today! Please send them to our class email: firstname.lastname@example.org
