Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Wednesday

It’s Wednesday so time for some yoga. Today we have Mike and Muttnik on the Moon! Click here.

For today’s learning we have…

RWI

One lesson will show at 9.30am each day and be available for 24 hours.

If you are in Mrs Daniel’s RML group you will need to watch set 1. If you are in Ms Ellson’s or Mrs Riley’s RML group you will need to watch the Set 2 Speed sounds, word time and spelling videos. You should watch these every day.

I have attached the link here.

Literacy

Now we know a little bit about the story from the blurb and the front cover we will watch the story. Click here.

I hope you enjoyed the story? Did you notice that there are lots of rhyming words in the story!

Today and tomorrow, we are going to spend time looking at the robbers!

We are going to collect information today so that tomorrow we can make a wanted poster for one of the robbers.

First, I would like you to choose one of the robbers from the gang. It might be the worst robber Grabber Dan or one of the other robbers. It might be Grandma Swagg who got away from the police.

I would like you to complete the fact file about the robber. You do not need to write sentences; you are just collecting information ready to write your wanted poster tomorrow. Think about the best adjectives to describe them. Remember an adjective is a describing word.

I have included the link here if you need to remind yourself about adjectives.

Blue group – I would like you to think of an adjective to label the picture of the robber. Remember to keep your fact files safe as you will need them tomorrow to make your posters.

Maths

Today we are going to be learning about 2D shapes. Unlike 3D shapes, 2D shapes are flat. Can you see any around you now?

Watch this clip to complete your warm-up and see your learning.

Your work today is to name the 2D shapes and then put this learning to the test by colouring in the colour by shape worksheet.

Also here is a fun game for you to try.

Blue group:

For our warm up today, I would like you to write your numbers out to 5.

Now, we will match 2d shapes with their names and I would like you to do your best to remember them.

Art

D.T/Art

We are going to look at patterns over the next couple of art lessons.

Patterns are all around us. Look at the different patterns on the power point below. Some you might find in nature and some are man-made patterns. Look at the shapes and the colours.

Look around you, can you see any patterns?

In school, we have explored different lines in art. Can you remember the different types of lines?

We have looked at wavy lines, vertical lines, horizontal lines and cross hatch lines.

This might come in useful for today’s art.

I would like you to watch a video that shows you how to fill a hand outline with different patterns. Look at the different lines he has drawn. Can you see vertical line, horizontal lines, wavy lines and zigzag lines? You might be able to use some of them on your hand pattern.

You can use crayons, felt pens, chalk or anything else you think would make a good hand pattern picture. Make sure each pattern you draw is clear.

I can’t wait to see them.
