It’s Wednesday so time for some yoga. Today’s story is Popcorn the Dolphin.
For today’s learning we have…
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Set 1 sounds at 9:30am
Set 2 sounds at 10:00am
Set 3 sounds at 10:30am
They have updated these lessons to include word time for set 1 speed sounds and spelling for set 2 and 3.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” three times a week (Mon, Wed & Fri at 2pm) and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
LiteracyOver the next 2 weeks we will be looking at a fairy tale. A fairy tale is a magical imaginary story. Watch this video clip to learn more:
The fairy tale we will be learning about is called The Princess and the Pea.
Watch the story here:
Green, Yellow & Orange groups:
Today I would like you to read the story I’ve attached below and answer the questions.
Blue & Red groups:
I would like you to order pictures to tell the story.
Discuss feelings of each of the characters at start, middle, end of the story.
GYOR groups:Today we are going to be learning to count forwards and backwards to and from 100. Sometimes we count forwards, and sometimes we count backwards. Can you join in with this song and practise counting to 100?
Now try the worksheet below to carry on the sequence of numbers. Remember to check if you’re counting forwards or backwards.
Place some objects in front of you. How much is there? Remember to count carefully.
Today we are going to be counting carefully and matching amounts to the numbers. When you have done this can you place the numbers in the right order?
Last term we were learning about levers and sliders. Do you remember the train, spinner and plant we made? Today we are going to create a dolphin that jumps through the water. I want you to click on the powerpoint first to see how we are going to create our jumping dolphin.
Now click on the design worksheet and fill in what you need and draw your design.
Next I want you to create your dolphin! I can’t wait to see them! Send me your pictures and I’ll put them on here for the rest of our class to see.
