Literacy

Today, you are going to be reminding yourselves of the features of a diary entry, as this week we are going to be writing one of our own.

Our diary will be from the point of view of Hogarth, the new character we have been introduced to in Chapter 2 of ‘The Iron Man’.

First, read through the PowerPoint that has been attached and familiarise yourself with the features you will need to include in your diary entry.

Then, your task is to identify these features in the attached diary entry.

Green - Work through the PowerPoint with a grown up and then identify the features independently.

ROY - Work through the PowerPoint with a grown up and then have a go at identifying the features independently. Leave any you get stuck with to try with an adult.

Blue - work through the PowerPoint and identify the features with a grown up.

YG - You are to use the sheet that is labelled with 1 star of the ‘Find the Features’ document (page 1, answers on page 2).

Maths

Green - Today you are learning to multiply 3 digits by 1 digit. You can use your skills from the last two days to help you with this.

Here is the link to a video which will teach you everything you need to know for this lesson, just as I would teach you in class:

After you have watched the video, have a go at answering the questions on the attached worksheet. Afterwards, you can mark your answers and ask a grown up to go through any mistakes you made that you don’t know how to correct.

ROY - Today you are learning to divide by 4. Use the 4 x table that you wrote out yesterday to help you.

Computing

In computing this week, I would like you to send an email to me. My email address is below, please do this by yourself although a parent can be next to you to tell you what to do if you are stuck.

Tell me all about the home learning that you have been completing and what you have enjoyed the most.

I will reply to you when I open my emails. If possible, continue emailing me whilst you are learning from home. This will help you to become confident with emailing whilst also giving me a chance to talk to you and see how you are getting on.
