Morning Carle class. It’s terrific Tuesday. We hope you are enjoying our under the sea learning. Did you work out what Stanley was in yesterday’s story?
Is it a jellyfish? No its Stanley. Today we want you to write sentences for pictures drawn in story map on Monday i.e. the enormous whale scooped up Stanley in his big mouth. The seagull pecked at Stanley.
Does each sentence make sense? Have you used your Fred fingers to spell words? Have you got finger spaces between your words? Are your letters well formed? Have you got a full stop at the end of each sentence? Is your writing clear and readable?
Lets start off our maths with finding one more and one less of a number on their number lines.
Yesterday we started to look at odd and even numbers and the children had chance to investigate what numbers were odd and even.
Today we are going to sort numbers 0-20 into odd and even groups. Please do not stick these down as we will use them again tomorrow.
Work through the numbers with the children and allow them to get the number of objects and find out which number is odd and even.
Lets finish off our maths with ordering and reading all numbers to 20 but this time mixed up. For example, 4,9,14. Can the children read the three numbers and can they put the numbers in order?
Today we have attached a pollution PowerPoint all about plastics. Read through and then design a poster to show some information you have learnt. You can design your poster in any way using any materials!
Listen to and enjoy 'There is a hole in the bottom of the sea'
