Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Tuesday 9th June

Morning sleepy heads, let’s get moving!

For today’s learning we have…

Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:

Set 1 sounds at 9:30am

Set 2 sounds at 10:00am

Set 3 sounds at 10:30am

They have updated these lessons to include word time for set 1 speed sounds and spelling for set 2 and 3.

There is also “Storytime with Nick” three times a week (Mon, Wed & Fri at 2pm) and some poems that your child can learn and perform.

I have attached a SPaG mat below for you to complete. Try to complete this independently.

Today we are going to look at ar (start the car) and or ( shut the door)

Look at these words where does the ar sound come in the word?

car     far     start    dark

Look at these words where does the or sound come in the word?

for    born     form

Now have a go at this “ar” spelling game

Have a go at this “or” spelling game.

Now click on the document and practise your spelling.

I would like you to read the words then sort the words. When you have done that, I would like you to add the sound buttons to each word.

This morning we have a maths warm up to get our brains working, try to complete this independently.

G/Y/R/O groups:

Today we are going to be making equal groups. When we are sharing amounts for dividing and completing repeated addition questions for multiplication we need to make sure we know the groups are equal. Today is all about checking if we know when groups are equal and making equal groups ourselves. Make sure you click on the activity for your group below.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.

Blue group:

Your learning today is counting carefully. We are going to be counting the objects, you can cross them out as you count them if you’d like. Remember to write the numbers correctly. To start off let’s begin by counting to 20 with this fun song…

Your Geography learning today is all about the Aboriginal people in Australia. You are going to learn about the location (where they live) and some human and physical features in these areas. Work through the power point, completing the activities as you go through.
