Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Tuesday 9.3.21

Reading:

Yesterday we started reading Beauty and the Beast.  We reached the part where the Prince had broken his promise and the old woman gave a warning to the servants.

Reading - Tuesday 9.3.21

Read through the instructions - they will guide you through the activities you are going to do when you have read today’s pages (Chapter 1 p5-8).

Writing:

Yesterday we learned about prepositions.  Prepositions are used to show where something is in a setting.  These prepositions are going to be very important this week when we are describing the Prince’s palace.

Today we are going to use an Education City activity to teach us how to describe a setting.

Open up Education City and log in. We have set you a learn screen and an activity to learn about prepositions.

Now you have had an introduction to how to describe a setting, it’s time to try it out!

Go to the Writing Resources at the end of this section and open up this document:

Maths:

This week in Maths we are practising our place value and number skills.  Today we are learning how to compare and order numbers.  Open up Education City, watch the 'learn screen' and complete the activities that we have set for you.  When you have done this, go to the resources section below and complete the activities for your group.

PSHE Activities:

This week as we are settling back into our school routine, we are taking the time to think about our feelings about our time in home learning and our return to school.

Open up the Mood Monsters cards in the resources section below. These will show you lots of different feelings that we can have sometimes and they will help us with our activity this afternoon.

We are going to talk about the feelings that we have when we are thinking about our return to school.

In the thought clouds, write down any questions you had or things you might have been worried about.  How do you feel now?

In the stars, write down the things that you were looking forward to about returning to school.  How do you feel now?
