Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Tuesday

It's Terrific Tuesday!

Hi Reception, we hope that you're ready for today's learning! To start off your day, why don't you have a look outside of your window and see what the weather is like. Do you like today’s weather? What is your favourite weather?

Please don't forget to send us your work, we are always so happy to see it: carle@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk

Get Moving!

To warm ourselves up ready for the day, let's do the Pirate dance!

As always, have a look at our PE page for more activity ideas.

RML:

Don't forget today's RML session! It will be available at 9:30am at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ

What sound did you practice yesterday? Can you say the rhyme, and write it in the air with your magic pencil?

Literacy:

This week we are learning about acrostic poems. Do you remember what an acrostic poem is? An acrostic poem is when we write a word down the side of our page and use each letter of that word to write new words or phrases. Like this:

F ins

I ridescent

S limey

H ard to catch

Today we want you to write an acrostic poem using a creature from the sea. You could use whale or crab or if you’re feeling like a challenge try a longer word like octopus. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Maths:

For our maths this week we are going to be putting our learning to the test. Summer is almost here as well. Watch this clip below to join in with today’s learning and then try the activity below.

At the sea:

Today we are learning about being careful when we’re by the sea. Have you been to the beach before? The beach is a fantastic place to play but we have to be careful. Below is the story of Sammy the seagull and then an activity where you can point out the parts of the beach you have to be careful at.
