Below you will find all the learning for today. This includes reading, writing, maths and a foundation subject (Science, Geography, History, R.E, Computing, art or Design Technology). The coloured activities should be completed if your child is in that group in class. All reading texts and worksheets can be found at the bottom of the page, some reading texts will be posted Monday for use all week. 

 

Reading - Today we will be looking at the Macbeth graphic novel: picture 20 & 21

Predict -

Which key event from the story will be covered with an image that takes a whole page?

Clarify 

  • Obsessed
  • Vanquished
  • Descendants.

Question -

  1. Where did Macbeth find the witches?
  2. What does the phrase ' out of the woods' actually mean?
  3. How many Kings are seen in the last picture?  

Summary -

In three sentences explain the opinions of the people watching the play. (Those at the side of the main picture)

 

Writing - Spelling: Greek Etymology (origins)

ch = /k/

sc = /s/

ph = /f/

Maths - Measurement

For Green to Red groups watch the lesson here. This will walk you through your task. Keep up with the video and do the questions when asked. Today we are measuring. You will need to recall millimeters (mm) and centimeters (cm). How many mm make 1 cm? Go here for a quick recap before starting your lesson.

Foundation - Science

Today we will be learning about life cycles of mammals, birds, insects and amphibians. Before you begin jot down what you can remember about life cycles. You will then need to log into Developing Experts where you will find your lesson. Today you will need a pencil and a sheet of paper, maybe you might like to use some colouring pencils, but you do not have to. Work through the slide show and then complete the Mission. Finally take the assessments so that I can track your success.
