Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Tuesday 2nd June

Rise and shine guys, let’s get moving with some Old Town Road…

For today’s learning we have…

Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:

Set 1 sounds at 9:30am

Set 2 sounds at 10:00am

Set 3 sounds at 10:30am

They have updated these lessons to include word time for set 1 speed sounds and spelling for set 2 and 3.

There is also “Storytime with Nick” three times a week (Mon, Wed & Fri at 2pm) and some poems that your child can learn and perform.

Did you enjoy yesterday’s story Miss Fawkes chose for you?

Today I have another Winnie the Witch book for you to read. It is called Tidy Up Winnie! Inside there are two stories. Read them to a grown up and discuss which one you liked the best. Remember you could send me a short video of you reading a few pages to me.

I have attached a SPaG mat below for you to complete. Try to complete this independently.

Today we are going to look at oy (toy for a boy) and oi ( spoil the boy)

Look at these words where does the oy sound come in the word?

boy     toy     annoy

Look at these words where does the oi sound come in the word?

Spoil     boil    coin

Now have a go at these 2 games to practise your spelling

Now click on the document and practise your spelling.

I would like you to read the words then sort the words. When you have done that, I would like you to add the sound buttons to each word.

This morning we have a maths warm up to get our brains working, try to complete this independently.

G/Y/R/O groups:

Today we are going to be continuing our learning on capacity. How many cups of water can fit in to one container? Remember to read the questions carefully.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.

Blue group:

Your learning today is all about the months of the year. Watch this song first and then try putting the months of the year in the right order.

Today we are going to find out about the life of Queen Victoria. She was Queen over 200 years ago and was Queen for 63 years.

I would like you to watch this to find out more about her. There is a quiz after about her.

Now I would like you to look at portraits of Queen Victoria when she was young and when she was older and draw your own portrait of her.

I have attached a frame for you to draw your portrait in or you can use your own piece of paper.

When you have done that, read the questions about Queen Victoria and match the correct answer to each question.
