Literacy
Today in literacy, we are going to continue thinking about the story setting. We know that they were in a caravan that was near the sea. The land near the sea is called the coast. So below, I have found some pictures that are of a coast and your task is to identify/label or write words to describe the features of a coast - e.g. rocks or if you would like to make it even better - huge, grey rocks. Remember, you can use a dictionary or a thesaurus to improve your vocabulary and make the words more interesting if you have one at home.

RE
Today we are going to be learning about journeys but before we do, it is important to introduce the concept of pilgrimage and identify the differences between a tourist and a pilgrim.
Our investigation is to find out what the difference is between the two of these people and how we can tell this.
Let's begin by thinking about journeys...
You will see below a document with some activities on so that you can begin to understand the ‘big idea’ of this investigation. Life’s like a journey. These activities encourage every child to reflect on questions about life as a journey for themselves.
Choose 2 or 3 of the tasks stated on the document and complete them.
