Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Tuesday 24th March

Morning sleepy heads, let’s get moving!

For today’s learning we have…

Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:

Set 1 sounds at 9:30am or 12:30pm

Set 2 sounds at 10:00am or 1:00pm

Set 3 sounds at 10:30am or 1:30pm

Today we are practising putting full stops in the correct places.

This week we are learning about the story of a meerkat called Sunny. The book is called Meerkat Mail, watch it here by clicking on this link

Today’s task is to write a letter to Sunny explaining why your house will be a nice place for him to live. Explain who lives in your house, where it is and why it is lovely. I want to see those adjectives (describing words) you came up with yesterday and remember...

  • Capital letters
  • Full stops
  • Finger spaces
  • Use ‘and’ to make your sentences longer
  • Use your lead ins for your letters

For our maths warm up let’s test those brains with our number bonds to 20:

Our main learning for today is tens and ones, click on the Word document below. See if you can partition other numbers (break them apart) using tens and ones.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.

Yesterday you read the story of Tom Crean’s rabbit.

Can you look on the internet or on a map, plan a route from England to the Antarctica, how would you get there? How long would it take you? We will need this information for tomorrow’s task.
