Writing - Spelling

Introduction - vowel or consonant. This link is here as reminder of what Vowels and consonants are, in case you may have forgotten over the holidays.

Today we will investigate the difference between a soft and hard c, exploring the vowels that usually follow a soft c and the vowels that follow a hard c. Click on the word spelling above to find a video lesson to explain your learning, you will need a pencil and paper.

Green and Yellow - complete spelling activity.

Orange and Red - complete spelling activity.

Blue - complete spelling activity.

Maths - Division

Today using this video as an introduction I would like you to recall how to divide. We will start with dividing by 10.

It is not too tricky to recall if you know your place value. 30 divided by 10 is 3, three tens make thirty.

Green and Yellow - Complete the CS Dividing by 10 sheet below - choose the level D, E or GD that you can do.

Orange and Red - Complete the WRM Dividing by 10 sheet below.

Blue - You will be working on division by making equal groups. Use this video to understand how to do today's work. then complete the WRM Making Equal groups sheet below. Drawing pictures and drawing circles around objects to make groups can really help here.

Foundation - PSE Zoom Meeting

Please join us via Zoom, at 1pm our meeting ID is 398 812 5276 and the password will be the same as previous meetings, for our weekly discussion on how things are going amid lockdown. This will allow us a chance to catch up with classmates and discuss:

  • How was the writing lesson today and yesterday?
  • Can everybody access all the websites and videos that they need?
  • Has anybody done/seen anything interesting?

Children can be on chat on their own this time as the discussions will be about how they are finding their work. Any concerns parents have can be sent to myself via email please.

If you need any details again please email, lewis@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk , before this afternoon to take part. No emails will be seen from 12pm onwards so please do not leave it to the last minute to get the information. These details will remain the same for all future meetings so please note them down.
