Rise and shine guys, let’s get moving with this lovely song, one of my favourites that is for sure! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GeYONw5DMo
For today’s learning we have…
RWI
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Click on the link for Set 1 sounds.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
Handwriting:
Today we are practising the letter ‘t’. Remember lead in, down the tall tower to the steps, cross the tower.
Literacy
Today we are going to be reading the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Have you heard this story before? What happens in the story?
Yellow & Green groups: I want you to finish the sentences using the word ‘and’. ‘and’ is a conjunction that makes our sentences longer.
Red, Orange & Blue groups: I want you to order the pictures of Little Red Riding Hood. Can you tell your grown up the story?
Maths
G/Y/R/O groups:
This week we are learning to count beyond 10. Today we are going to be focusing on the teen numbers. These can be very confusing for us, we sometimes write the numbers the wrong way around. Today I want you to match the teen number to the word and to the amount. Remember to count carefully. Can you write your numbers correctly to 20?
Blue group:
Let’s warm up by practising the days of the week song by clicking on this link:

Today you are practising careful counting. First trace over the numbers, then count the pictures carefully and match them to the number.
D&T
This term we have been learning about tabs and flaps in books. Last term we designed and created our own plant pot with a tab that made the flower move vertically. Today we are going to design a train on a track that moves horizontally. Look at slides 12-17 on the powerpoint. Use the plan to colour in your train and then the bottom box to design your track. Now print off another copy to create your moving train.
