How did you get on with the matching?
Today you need to read the United Kingdom text again and then complete the 'fill the gap' worksheet. Can you choose the correct words to fill the gaps?
Today we are going to practise sequencing time intervals. This means putting periods of time in order. Check if the question is asking you to order from the shortest to longest times or longest to shortest times.
Here is some information to help you with your learning today.
There are 60 seconds in 1 minute.
There are 60 minutes in 1 hour.
There are 24 hours in 1 day.
There are 7 days in 1 week.
There are usually 30 or 31 days in a month except in February where there is normally 28 days (apart from leap years like this year where there were 29 days!)
There are 365 days in a year, (or 366 when in a leap year like this year).
There are 12 months in 1 year.
Today we are going to be making equal groups. When we are sharing amounts for dividing and completing repeated addition questions for multiplication we need to make sure we know the groups are equal. Today is all about checking if we know when groups are equal and making equal groups ourselves.

Today you are going to complete some spelling learning.
Last week we looked at adjectives ending in y with the suffix er and est.
Today we are going to look at adjectives ending in y with the suffix ed and ing.
A suffix is a letter or group of letters that goes on the end of a word and changes the word's meaning.
When we add ed to words that end in y we need to drop the y and add i then add ed.
cry – cried
When we add ing to words that end in y we need to keep the ‘y’ when adding to prevent having a double ‘i’ (ii).
