Good morning. How did you get on with your learning yesterday?
Remember you can send me your learning on the class email. I do look forward to seeing what you are up to at home.
Reading
It is really important that you continue to practise your reading at home! I have put lots of information about different ways you can keep reading at home if you have read every book you have at home. You can always read it again... you know that 3 times is best! Remember to ask your grownup to ask you questions about your book.
* Who is the main character?
* What happens in this story?
* Were there any funny parts? What parts were funny?
* What was your favourite part and why?
* Was there a part you didn't like and why?
Maths
Year 1 - For our maths warm up let’s try addition within 20:

Read the maths question at the top and work it out in your head or using your fingers, click the number that it equals.
Your learning for today is going to be ½ of an amount. I have attached a power point to go through your learning first and then a worksheet to see if you can do it on your own. Remember if you have any questions, just email me.
Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.
Blue group: Let’s start off by counting amounts to 10:

Your learning today is all about patterns, do you remember the train activity we had last Friday? Well that was a colour and shape activity. Today we are going to carry on the colour pattern then we will do the shape pattern and finally there is a challenge where there is a picture pattern for you to try. You could make your own patterns at home with the toys you have, you could use Lego blocks or even spoons and forks.
Year 2: Today we a going to start with the 5 times table. Look at Super movers 5 times table video. You need your poshest voices today! Make sure when you answer Posh Pooch you still keep your posh voice!
Click on the link below.

Today you have a table to complete with either a calculation or a repeated addition.
Challenge: Like yesterday draw the arrays that go with each calculation.
Literacy
Today you need to watch and listen carefully to the story of Mrs Armitage on Wheels because you are going to answer some questions about what you have seen and heard!
Year 2 - Try to answer the questions in complete sentences.
Year 1 – Read the sentences about Mrs Armitage. Are the sentences true or false?
History
I would like you to create a time capsule to remember this extraordinary time we are living in now.
In the future, everyone will look back and remember 2020 – the year of the Coronavirus pandemic across the world.
It will be a major event in our History.
It will not last forever. Things will go back to normal but people will always remember this time.
When you are a grown up, you will tell your children and grandchildren about
this time.
By making a time capsule, you will have something special to help you
remember and somewhere to keep safe your ideas, memories and items from
2020.
You might want to take your time with this and do a bit each day over this
week to complete this activity.
When you have put everything into your time capsule. Close the lid and seal the capsule.
You might want to put a date on your capsule to remind you when
to open it next.
E.g. – Next year – 2021
Ten years – 2030
Your eighteenth birthday.
Talk to a grown up and decide together on a safe place to hide your capsule. Some ideas are at the back of your wardrobe or in your loft.
You could bury it in a hole in your garden – but it must be in a container that will not biodegrade - and you will have to mark the spot somehow!
Remember to send us a photograph of you and your finished time capsule.
You might want to photograph some of the things you put inside your time capsule too.
