Good morning, I hope you got on well with all of your learning yesterday. Thank you to all the parents who have been sending me examples of your child's work. It has been great to see them doing so well in these unusual circumstances. I am very proud of each and every one of you!
The Maths work was moving around when some people opened it yesterday, I'm really sorry about that. I'm not sure what happened. I have tried to convert today's into PDF files, please let me know if you have any more issues!
Today's learning will build on yesterday's learning. Today you will be ordering numbers. Sometimes you will be asked to do this from smallest to greatest, but other times it may ask you to order from greatest to smallest. You must do very careful reading of the questions. You will have to look very carefully at some of the pictures and do some careful counting.
For the challenge I have tried to include an example of a question like one of the trickier ones to hopefully help you!
Again, please check the group colours to click the correct sheet below.
For today's learning you will be subtracting from 20. It would be good if you could practice counting back from 20 before you begin. You could do it in different voices like we do at school (quiet voice, loud voice, squeaky voice). You have a number line to help you find the starting number. You need to jump back as many times as the subtraction asks you to. So if the question was 20 - 7 you start at 20 and take 7 jumps backwards to land on your answer.
First of all you will need to watch and listen to the story 'Giraffes can't dance' again. Watch really closely. You will be answering some comprehension questions about the story so it's really important that you know what has happened in the story so you know which part of the story you can find your answer.
Check below to select the correct worksheet. Only choose the blue group one if you are in blue group.
For today's SPaG activity I have set up an account on spag.com for you where I have set an activity for you to practice the 4 different sentence types. Once you log in it will be the only activity you can see to complete! However, you will have to email me in order to receive your username and password. I will reply with the details as soon as I can.
I am in school tomorrow from 12:00-3:30 so will not be accessing my emails during this time.
A reminder of the class email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org
Today I would like you to watch a video with some spring pictures in it whilst listening to some music.
What instrument can you hear? How does it make you feel?
Can you hear any other noises?
Keep active! Choose a dance or follow a Joe Wick's P.E lesson online!
Keep reading everyday and talking about the books you are reading.
Some questions to consider whilst reading:
Who is the main character?
How did _____ feel when ________?
Pause along the way...What do you think will happen next?
Log into Times Tables Rockstars, practice your multiplication skills.
