Literacy

Create a postcard!

What is a post card? Why do you write them? What do you do with them? How do you send them? Have you ever posted anything?

Attached is a template to write your own postcard. Who will you send yours to? Why don’t you send your postcards to us at school? Here is our address …

Write on each postcard something you are doing with your time at home. Don’t forget to make sure the letters you write are clear. Have you remembered your finger spaces between each word?

Maths

This week in maths we are going to learn about numbers to 20. Start off by counting forwards and backwards to 20, if you can go higher keep going. You can use a number line to help you with number recognition too.

Today we are going to focus on one less. Use the number line from yesterdays lesson and give your child a number and ask them to find one less by jumping backwards one. Repeat this with a variety of numbers.Attached is a sheet to complete for one more and one less.

Finish off our maths learning by playing our ordering number game.
