Literacy

Today we have found a very funny story about trying to catch the Easter bunny! Watch it here …… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2EFhbLMmX8

What traps are made to catch the Easter bunny? For today’s writing task we want you to draw and then label your own trap. You could use the ideas from the book or come up with your own. Underneath your drawing can you write a few sentences to explain how your trap would work? Can you use the plan you made in Literacy to make the trap you designed!

Maths

Maths time!! Let’s start off our maths learning with one more. Did you make your own number line from 0-20? Can use this to work out what is one more than 15? Find 15 on the number line and jump forward 1. One more than 15 is 16. Ask an adult to ask some more questions. Can you answer them without the number line? Keep up with your counting. Use a 100 number square on a phone/tablet/computer. Touch each number as you can so you know what the number looks like when you are saying it.

Do you remember our birthday picture graph we made? All the children’s pictures were put in a picture graph depending on the month of their birthday. Well today you are going to create an Easter picture graph. If you can print it off then please feel free but if you can’t do not worry. You can draw your own simple graph with a ruler and a pencil. Count how many of each Easter object you can see and fill in the graph by either drawing the object or colouring in each block.

Let’s finish off our maths singing our months of the year song, the song is attached below.

Topic

Can you use your plan you made in Literacy to make the trap you designed! What materials will you use? How will it work?

If you finish that why not have a go at doing something nice for thoughtful Thursday. We want you to send a message, picture or video in to us. It could be a written message, picture you have drawn, short video or even a song! Maybe you want to send a message to a friend you can’t see or send it into us.

Remember it’s good to talk smiley
