Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Thursday 26th March

Happy Thursday Carle class! What have you had nice for breakfast this morning? Remember to keep washing your hands! How are the adults getting on with our washing our hands song?

A big thank you to all of those children who have emailed us to tell us what they have been doing and sending us fabulous pictures and videos. They have really made us smile. Remember any work that you do you can send us a picture or videos, you can keep the sheets at home :)

Remember Joe Wicks P.E. sessions are streamed live on YouTube daily.  You could also try some of the Zumba dances or Yoga activities on the website Go Noodle. It is free to join up and they have hundreds of dance activities for you to do? Which one is your favourite?

RWI

Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:

Set 1 sounds at 9:30am or 12:30pm

Set 2 sounds at 10:00am or 1:00pm

Literacy

Lets play 'I spy'! This game is really fun and you use the initial sounds of the object you see. For example if you choose an apple you would say I spy with my little eye something beginning with 'a'. The other person must look around for objects beginning with 'a',

We played this in the classroom-Mrs Evans said 'I spy with my little eye something beginning with 'T'. Miss Pegler said table, t-shirt, tap and toys and got it right when she said toys.

Below is an I Spy activity for you to complete. Feel free to print if off or open it on the computer and just work through it. We would love to see how you got on so why not send us a picture or video?

Have you finished already? We would love you to write about the game 'I spy' and how you play it. Can you write the rules of the game so that we can share it with Nursery, they would love to play at home too? Maybe you could write an example of what you found in I spy and the sound it began with.

Maths

Lets start off by warming our brains up and counting actions to 20-if you can go higher count as far as you can go, let us know how far you got. You could count claps, stamps, jumps or steps. Lets see if you can remember your learn it- Double 1 is 2, double 2 is 4 and double 3 is 6. Attached below is an addition maths activity. You must count the one colour eggs and the other colour eggs and write the addition sum. e.g If there are 4 purple eggs and 5 yellow eggs then you write 4+5=9. Can you send us your work when you have finished?

Crafts

Lets make newspaper animals-the sheet is below. Find an old newspaper ( if you don't have one then find some paper or an old magazine). We would love to see your finished pictures. Maybe you could write about what it is and how you made it too.

We hope you have a lovely day at home and the sun is still shining. Keep on smiling and being superstars!
