What are Synonyms?

Synonyms are words with the same or similar meaning:

  • Words such as happy, cheerful and merry.
  • Words such as sad, miserable and heartbroken.

What are Antonyms?

Antonyms are words with opposite meanings:

You can use a thesaurus to find synonyms and antonyms for words.

Green and Yellow - Complete the learning activity. Try to write 8 sentences using the skills developed through the lesson. The ones you write in the lesson count then add on a few more. Try to use complex sentences that use clauses and commas to add further detail to your sentences.

Orange and Red - Complete the learning activity. Try to write 6 sentences using the skills developed through the lesson. The ones you write in the lesson count then add on a few more. Try to use vocabulary of your own. Maybe it's from a book you have read before and you really like the description.

Maths -  Translation

Today you are going to begin looking at translation, this means moving the position of one point on a grid to another, watch the video to remind yourself how to do this, then complete your worksheet at the bottom of the page.

Green and Yellow - Complete questions 1 - 3, then 6

Orange and Red - Complete questions 1 - 3, then 4

Blue - Yesterday you followed instructions to move around a grid. Today you will see on your worksheet that you now have two points on the grid and you need to work out how they have moved. Remember you need to go across to find the first coordinate and then down to find the second, I do not have a video for you today but when you open your worksheet you will see that I have given you lots of examples and hints so that you can complete your learning.

Foundation -  PHSE and MUSIC

PHSE

ZOOM 1:00

Today is an opportunity for us all to get together and share our news, ask questions about our work or the world around us and just chat. I would like to think about positive things. At half term I had lots of chances to go out and walk with my family and the big change I noticed were some flowers growing - also at last we had a little more sunshine and a little less rain - Spring is here smiley. We also had time to make our own pancakes on Pancake Day - I would like to hear what you did at half term

Our meeting ID is 628 940 6543 and the password remains the same as last time, if you would like a reminder just email me.

Music: Rhythm and Pulse Using your body.

Watch the lesson here and follow the instructions. In this lesson, you are going to begin to clap rhythmic patterns in a call and response pattern. You are going to learn what improvising means and how to create a rhythmic improvisation pattern. You will also revisit our song and make up some body percussion patterns to fit the pulse.
