Thursday

Right guys, it’s Thursday and for a bit of fun today we have the GUMMY BEAR DANCE! Click here to begin!

For today’s learning we have…

RWI

One lesson will show at 9.30am each day and be available for 24 hours.

If you are in Mrs Daniel’s RML group you will need to watch set 1. If you are in Ms Ellson’s or Mrs Riley’s RML group you will need to watch the Set 2 Speed sounds, word time and spelling videos. You should watch these every day.

Click here to watch your session.

Literacy

Today we are going to look at rhyming words. Rhyming words have the same sound but not always the same letters.

Click here to watch the video to find out all about rhyming words. After the video scroll down because there are two activities to see if you can find rhyming words.

See if you can match rhyming words. Open up rhyming words activity and complete.

Now you are going to think of a rhyming word so you can write your own poem.

Click on the activity to get started.

Maths

GYRO groups:

Let’s start by warming up by counting in 2s, click here begin.

Today our learning is all about comparing sentences. We have used the < (less than), > (more than) and = (equal) signs to compare numbers before. Today we are going to be using those signs to compare maths sentences. Click here and listen carefully to your learning for today.

Blue group:

First let’s start off with a song to warm our brains up by clicking here

This week we have been learning about greater and fewer. Today I want you to count the snowflakes that are on each mitten and tick which has the most.

R.E

Christianity - The wise man and the foolish man.

This week we are learning about a story of two men. One man built his house on a rock, the other man built his house on top of sand. When it rained what do you think happened? The man who built his house on a rock was called wise, wise means that he was clever and thought things through. The man who built his house on the sand was called foolish, why do you think he was foolish? Today I have two tasks for you to do:

Task 1 is a song: I want you to click here and watch and join in with the song about the wise man and the foolish man.

Task 2 is an experiment: I want you to make 2 houses out of lego, sticks, duplo, play-dough, whatever you have at home that is waterproof. Take them outside and put one house on top of a rock and the other on sand if you have it, if not use soil. You could put them in your bath or in a tray if you don’t have a garden. Use the watering can or hose to pour water over the top. What happens? What would you use to build your house on top of? I can’t wait to see what it looks like.

PSHE

The World Around Me: Our Goals - To learn what to do if we come across difficulties.

For our PSHE learning today we are going to be thinking about how to overcome difficulties.

When we want to do something in our life there can be things that make it tricky for us to reach our goals. Today’s learning is about trying to think more positively about what we can do when facing difficulties. Look through the power point and answer the questions.

Then I want you to complete the worksheet by telling me something you find difficult and thinking of things you CAN do to make this easier for you.
