Below you will find all the learning for today. This includes reading, writing, maths and a foundation subject (Science, Geography, History, R.E, Computing, art or Design Technology). The coloured activities should be completed if your child is in that group in class. All reading texts and worksheets can be found at the bottom of the page, some reading texts will be posted Monday for use all week. 

 

Reading - Today we are reading from the graphic novel. You need to look at pictures 8,9,10 and 11.

Predict - Which key parts of the story will be included in the illustrations.

Clarify - hostess

Question -

What are the names of King Duncan's sons?

Find and copy a phrase which compares Lady Macbeth to the witches.

Which thing in the story behaves in a supernatural way?

Why do you think Lady Macbeth goes to the King's room - use evidence from the text to support your answer.

Writing - Shakespeare - Macbeth

 

Plan a Setting Description

Watch today's lesson here, you will need a pen and something to write on. In this lesson, we will use a clip from Shakespeare's Animated Tales and pictures from the clip to plan adjectivesverbsadverbsfigurative language and adverbial phrases for each section of the clip. These are all the skills that you have developed over the last 2 weeks. 

 

Green and Yellow - - Plan a setting description that creates atmosphere with a sense of chaos and impending doom. Create images in the readers head using all the skills practised over the last 2 weeks.

Orange and Red - Plan a setting description that creates images in the readers head using all the skills practised over the last 2 weeks. Try to use similar images to create a mood/atmosphere throughout your whole plan.

Blue 

Plan a setting description that creates images in the readers head using all the skills practised over the last 2 weeks. Focus on the use of adjectives, verbs, similes and adverbial phrases. 

 

Maths - Decimals

 

Today we are going to learn how to divide decimals by integers. I would like everyone to email a photo of yesterday and today's work so that I can check you have understood before we move on next week. Click here for your learning video and your work sheet is at the bottom of the page.

 

Green and Yellow - Questions 1 - 4, then challenge yourselves and see how many more you can complete - they do get trickier as you go along.

Orange and Red - Questions 1 - 4
