Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Thursday

Reading:

Yesterday we continued reading the story of Aladdin.  We have reached the part where Aladdin has rubbed the lamp that he has found in the Cave of Wonders and has made his first wish.

Open up Thursday’s Reading powerpoint and today's pages to read and follow each step - they will guide you through the activities you are going to do when you have read today’s pages (p. 18-21)

Writing:

This week we are learning to re-tell the opening of a traditional tale (Aladdin).  Yesterday our online lesson showed us the opening scenes of the Aladdin film and we practised writing some sentences to describe them using our senses.

Today we are learning to plan a setting description for the opening of Aladdin.

Open up the link below. It is an online lesson based on the opening to Aladdin:

The video will guide you through some different activities, step by step.  You will be watching a clip of the opening to the Aladdin film, looking at the camera angles and learning how to use this when we are planning our sentences.

We have made some resources to help you complete the activities in the video.

Find the one for your group in the resource section.

Geography

Today in Geography we are going to be looking at something called Transportation (how things or people move around) in big cities.

Why are cities busier than small towns?

Why do we need cars and different vehicles?

Is there anything bad about using vehicles?

Keep these three simple questions in your mind as you work through the slides for this lesson.
