Right guys, it’s Thursday and do I have a treat for you! DANCE MONKEY lets go!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHscaKsr0IU
For today’s learning we have…
RWI
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Click on the link for Set 1 sounds.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
Handwriting:
Today we are practising the letter ‘z’. Remember lead in, stop, down the vulture’s wing, up the other wing.
Literacy
Today we are going to write our story. I want you to think carefully about your sentences, use the colourful sentence pictures, make the sentence, then write the sentence.
Maths
G/Y/R/O groups:
Today we are going to be learning about adding by counting on. When we see an add question, we can swap the numbers around. So which number is the biggest? Put this number in your head, now count the other number on your fingers and count on so 10 + 3 … we would put 10 I our heads, hold up 3 fingers and count on 10 (point to head), 11, 12, 13 (pinching fingers). See if you can put this skill to the test by completing the activity below.
Blue group:
Today we are going to be thinking more about our numbers to 10. We are going to first count the animals carefully. What is the total? Can you see this number? Circle it.
Geography
Today we are going to be learning about Scotland, click on the powerpoint below to learn facts about Scotland. Do you remember what the flag looks like? Where is Scotland in the UK?
Complete the activity by sticking the name with the matching picture.
