Thursday 22nd October 2020
Right guys, it’s Thursday and for a bit of fun today we have the Ghostbusters theme tune, choose a character and keep up… who you gonna call??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYgIVc5Jvjg
For today’s learning we have…
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Click on the link for Set 1 sounds.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
Today we are going to play a game, we have got Picnic on Pluto for you to feed the two alien’s Obb and Bob. Obb eats nonsense words and Bob eats real words. Read each word carefully using your Fred talk and feed it to the right alien. https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/PicnicOnPluto.html
Today we are going to use the information we learnt about wild cats to write sentences. \first look at the picture:
Cut out the pictures to create your sentence, say your sentence, what little words do you need to add? Now write your sentence, remember capital letters and full stops.
Today we are going to carry on our taking away learning by answering questions on paper. In school we are writing the maths story out in our books. At home I’d like you to use either objects or a number line to work out your answers.
Today we are going to be learning about the take away sign. Take away means we are going to take some away. Use objects that you have at home (legos maybe?) Read the maths story, get the amount first then get ready to take away and take away the amount. How many have you got left? Write the total.
Today we are going to quickly recap some of the plants we spoke about last session, who can recall the names of some? Can you recall the parts of a plant? What do plants need to grow? How do you know this?
Look up a picture of a bulb and a seed, do you know what these are? What is the same? What is different? What should we do with them? What will grow? Go through the pp about bulbs and seeds.
Today we are going to complete the life cycle of a sun flower. Draw a seed and a bulb. Talk about the differences and similarities.
