Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Thursday

Good morning! Hope I find you all well. It was lovely to read all your emails yesterday. Keep them coming.

Literacy

Today I would like you to write about what kind of character Gerald is.

Watch the story again. As you watch, write down words to describe what he looks like, how he behaves and how he feels at the start, middle and end of the story.

When you have done that, you can put these words into sentences to write a character description of Gerald.

Here is the link for the story:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZjsLK5vwNU
Below is an example character description of the Gruffalo, which will give you an idea of what you need to write.

Maths

Year 1try this to start -  taking away; Up to 20 – minus 1 digit number: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/daily10

Today’s learning is counting on to add amounts.

Remember with adding we can do switchers, e.g 2 + 8 = 10 and 8 + 2 = 10 so put the biggest amount in your head and count on the next amount using your fingers or the number lines.

There are 3 sheets. The first is the easiest and the last one is trickier. Pick the one you feel you can do. You can always do all three if you wish!!!

Year 2 – Today you need to practice writing numbers in words and numerals. Click on the document below to get started.

Here is the link you need to try the maths challenge

Blue group  - Today can you add 1 more to an amount and say how many there are. Remember to count carefully.

Year 1 and 2 - Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars.

A reminder: If you do not have your details to log on to this please email me and I will send them to you. donaldson@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk

Spring - Science

We have completed lots of learning about spring this week! Today I would like you to watch the video on the link below and have a look at what all the different animals are doing in the spring time.
You could draw some pictures of what they are doing or write some sentences about how they are behaving in the spring time.
What do you notice?
Why do you think they are doing these different things?
