Writing

In this lesson, we're going to be analysing the opening scene of "Macbeth".

This is a really important scene, because this is when Macbeth meets the witches, and they tell him their prophecies. Before you start the lesson, you need to get a pen or pencil or paper, or anything that you'd like to write on.

The lesson starts  with a quick writing warm up, and then moves on to look at the text type features of a play. Then, we will look at the opening, and read some of the excerpts aloud, and check for vocabulary meaning. After that, we will try and see, if we can picture the setting in our minds. Finally you will write sentences about the opening
