Thursday 11.3.21

Reading:

Yesterday we continued reading Beauty and the Beast. We reached the part where the merchant has arrived at the Beast’s house and is amazed by what he can see!

Read through the instructions - they will guide you through the activities you are going to do when you have read today’s pages (p.29-32).

Writing:

Yesterday we learned how to choose words and phrases to describe a setting and gather them together in a word bank. We included: adjectives, verbs and prepositions.

 

Today we are going to use our ideas to plan our setting description of the Prince’s palace, ready to write it tomorrow!

Maths:

This week we have been practising our number and place value skills.  Yesterday we solved number problems using the skills we have learned. Today we are going to practise an important Maths skill - reading and writing numbers in digits and in words.

PSHE Activities:

Today we are going to practise our speaking and our listening skills. We are going to have some fun questions to think about and then take it in turns to answer.  We are going to listen carefully to the answer that the person gives before us, and try to build on it by using phrases like:

 

"I agree because..."

"I see it differently because ..."

"I see your point, but I think ..."

"I prefer ____, because .."
