Should anyone be able to buy a pet?
When I was your age there was a huge campaign - A dog is for life, not just for Christmas. What do you think the message was? Why do you think that the campaign was needed?
Does this just apply to dogs? How might the same situation look slightly different depending on the animal? In the 1960s some people had large cats as pets but then released them hence so many apparent sightings of wild panthers in the past.
