Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Monday

It's Marvellous Monday!

Good Morning Reception, it's time to start a brand new week of learning! We hope you have all had a lovely half term. Today we are going to remind ourselves of the months of the year with this great song:

Remember, we love to see your work! Please send us some pictures of your learning this week to our class email: carle@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk

RML:

As usual, your three phonics sessions will be available on the Ruth Miskin YouTube channel at 9:30am. Please access these via the following link: https://www.youtube.com/c/RuthMiskinTrainingEdu/featured%C2%A0

We have seen some amazing example of the writing that you produce during these sessions, and would love for you to send us some more examples via our email!

Literacy:

This week we are going to be reading the story of the Little Red Hen.

Do you remember last week we made salt dough bread for our role play area? Your task this week is to try different types of bread, this means you can either talk about the bread you have in your house and research the different types of bread there are or if you are able to, go to the shops and buy some different types of bread to try. We want you to use words to describe what they look, smell, feel and taste like.

Maths:

For our maths learning today we are going to be counting amounts of 6, 7 and 8. To start our learning click below:

Your task today is going to be to use your memory. We want you to cut the cards out below, turn them over and take it in turns to turn over 2 cards. If they match you keep them. If they don’t match, you turn them back over. But you have to try and remember where the cards are if you want them!

Music:

This afternoon we will be learning some music. In this lesson, we will revisit the traditional tale "Jack and the Beanstalk". We will use the previous learning in note duration to read some simple rhythms through symbols. We will also climb the beanstalk again to further develop our understanding of pitch.
