I hope you had the best weekend possible whilst isolating! I hope you are ready for another day of learning. Keep up the brilliant work, you are doing so well!
For your reading learning today we have lots of pages to read. We will be reading from page 73 to 77.
Use the power point to guide you through as it breaks teh text into more manageable chunks and asks questions for you to answer throughout. If there is a white board answer Q feel free to write the answer on paper or say the answer out loud. If there is a TTYP question, talk to someone at home or again write down your thoughts.
Your main learning activity is to summarise the whole chapter, remember you can skim and scan back through so you can remind yourself of the key events.
Then you will make a prediction about what will happen in the next chapter, try to link your prediction to something you have already read in the text.
For your grammar learning today, you will be learning about subjects and predicates.
Predicates are the part of a sentence (or clause) that tells us what the subject does or is. To put it another way, the predicate is everything that is not the subject.
The subject of a sentence is the person or thing doing the action or being described.
Work your way through the power point, joining in with the activities and then have a go at your main learning activity.
Today in maths we are learning to convert mixed number fractions into improper fractions.
You'll need those brilliant multiplication and division skills again!
Watch the video: https://vimeo.com/500361175 which will go through all the different steps of your learning and then have a go at your activity below.
R.E today is building on the learning we have already completed surrounding temptation.
We are going to look at some different scenarios and try to think of what would happen if we resisted temptation and made a good choice or what would happen if we gave into temptation and made a poor choice.
There are lots of scenarios, so you could choose 3 or 4 to complete as we would be completing in partners normally!
See if you can write down the consequences of resisting or giving in to the temptations of these scenarios!
