Reading
Today, you will be reading Chapter 16 of our book Fantastic Mr Fox.
The text is attached below along with the Reciprocal Reading PowerPoint that you can follow as you read the pages.
Here is the order we usually follow in class for Reciprocal Reading:

Today we will be writing the opening of the story. This is where we meet the main characters (The Fox Family and the Farmers) and we find out a little about them to help paint a picture in the readers’ head.
In your opening today, you must:
To make this exciting for the reader, you could:

One gloomy evening, …
Sneakily, …
Enjoy writing and be sure to send me your opening to our class email, I am looking forward to reading them.

Maths
Today, you are going to be learning all about horizontal and vertical lines.
Here is the link to a video that will teach you everything you need to know for this lesson, just as I would teach you in class:
Sum4.10.2 - Horizontal and vertical on Vimeo
After you have watched the video, have a go at answering the questions on the attached worksheets.
Afterwards, you can mark your answers and ask a grown up to go through any mistakes you made that you don’t know how to correct.
Music
This week, your music lesson is going to be accessed via Oak Academy. You will be learning about rhythm. We would usually used instruments to tap the rhythm but at home you could use your hands to clap the beat.
