Literacy

What happens to the gingerbread man? How does the man and his wife feel? What does the fox want? How do you think everyone feels at the end?

Today we are drawing a story map to retell each part of the story. Don’t forget to label each drawing. You will need it for your writing in the week!

Don’t forget to make sure the letters you write are clear. Have you remembered your finger spaces between each word? Our aim is that everyone can read our fabulous writing so make sure it’s readable.

Maths

Today we are going to start off by finding one more and one less on our number lines. Can you find 2 more and 2 less?

This week in maths we are learning about weight. Can you find objects around your house and use the scales to see which is the heaviest and which is the lightest. Some scales move when objects are put on. What do you think happens to the item that is the heaviest? What do you think happens to the object that is the lightest? Discuss this with your adult. Attached is a sheet for you to tick the heaviest object by reading the scales, remember what happens to the heaviest object and the lightest object.

Topic

This afternoon we are going to practice our threading. Attached is a template of a ginger bread man, we used a hole punch and used some wool to practise our threading. If you do not have these resources then you can use a culinder and some pipe cleaners.
