Greenfield Primary School

Imagine, Believe, Succeed

Monday

It's Marvellous Monday!

Good Morning Reception, it's time to start a brand new week of learning! We hope you have all had a lovely half term. Today we are going to remind ourselves of the months of the year with this great song:

Remember, we love to see your work! Please send us some pictures of your learning this week to our class email: carle@greenfield.walsall.sch.uk

RML:

As usual, your three phonics sessions will be available on the Ruth Miskin YouTube channel at 9:30am. Please access these via the following link: https://www.youtube.com/c/RuthMiskinTrainingEdu/featured%C2%A0

We have seen some amazing example of the writing that you produce during these sessions, and would love for you to send us some more examples via our email!

Literacy:

This week is a special week, it is the first week of Spring. There are 4 seasons altogether, listen to this song to learn them all.

Today we are going to have lots of fun Spring activities but first we would like you to write a list of all of the things you know about Spring. Remember a list doesn’t have to be in sentences, write one thing, next line, write the next thing. Remember to use your Fred talk.

Maths:

To start with we are going to warm our brains up by counting to 10.

To continue our Spring theme, we are going to continue our careful counting by matching amounts, I want you to match the amounts to numbers on the flower. Cut out each petal, count the dots and find the matching amount.

Music:

This afternoon we will be learning some music. In this lesson, we are going on an adventure that will take us on a journey around our neighbourhood. We will be using singing games to explore beat, note duration and rhyme. In this lesson, we will take part in our first imaginative listening activity. We will listen to a piece of music called "Promenade: Walking the Dog" by George Gershwin. https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/walking-on-my-street-ccu3gr
