  • Read the pages
  • Clarify the meaning of words you didn’t know
  • Answer the questions
  • Summarise

SPaG-

In SPaG today we are going to use fronted adverbials. Below is a video explaining what a fronted adverbial is. This is not new learning therefore you have learnt this in school however it has been a while.

Adverbials are words or phrases that give more information to the sentence.

"I discovered fronted adverbials, earlier today."

'Earlier today' is the adverbial.

"Earlier today, I discovered fronted adverbials."

A fronted adverbial is when the adverbial word or phrase is moved to the front of the sentence, before the verb. So here, 'earlier today' is a fronted adverbial.

Please complete the mini fronted adverbial quiz attached. Complete this on your own and once you have finished ask an adult to mark it with you.

Maths

Today, you are recapping previous learning to divide 2 digits by 1 digit.

Here is the link to a video that will teach you everything you need to know for this lesson, just as I would teach you in class:

https://vimeo.com/492601303

After you have watched the video, have a go at answering the questions on the attached worksheet. Afterwards, you can mark your answers and ask a grown up to go through any mistakes you made that you don’t know how to correct.

Attached is a true or false for you to answer. Work through it and explain your answers. This is just a discussion to have with somebody else you do not need to write anything down.

Green/Yellow- Start from question 4 and work your way through.

Orange/Red- Start from question 1 and work through to questions 4.

History

Today we are going to begin learning about the Vikings. We learnt a little about the Vikings in our last lesson on the Anglo-Saxons.

The Anglo-Saxons first arrived in Britain in 449CE and then the Viking invasion began in 787CE.

Have a read through the PowerPoint that is attached and on the final slide, you have some questions to answer. Embedded in the PowerPoint are links to some teaching videos. If you cannot access them from the PowerPoint then they copied below.
