Reading

Today, you will begin Chapter 2 in ‘The Iron Man’. Today’s reading pages are 11-13. Please stop at ‘... the rain as fast as he could, homeward’. 

Work through the Reading PowerPoint and complete today’s written task. The chapter is attached below.

Here is the order we usually follow in class for Reciprocal Reading:

• Predict (sensible guess)

• Read the pages

• Clarify the meaning of words you didn’t know 

• Answer the questions

• Summarise

SPaG

In SPaG today we are looking at subjects and objects in sentences.

Using the information above, complete the ‘Focus’ questions followed by the ‘Practice’ questions. If you have time left you could always challenge yourself on the ‘Extension’.

Maths

Today you are learning to multiply 2 digits by 1 digit.

After you have watched the video, have a go at answering the questions on the attached worksheet. Afterwards, you can mark your answers and ask a grown up to go through any mistakes you made that you don’t know how to correct.

Attached is a true or false for you to answer. Work through it and explain your answers. This is just a discussion to have with somebody else you do not need to write anything down.

This week we will start talking about the Five Pillars of Islam. These are very important to Muslims and are all about the way they live their lives.
