Year 1 - Today’s sound is are (care and share) Watch the video to find out about our new sound. When you have finished complete the activity

Phonics set 3 - are sound

Blue group – play the video of set 1 sounds. Say the sounds at the same time as the lady in the video.


After you have finished it. Then read the ditty with a grown up.

First read the sounds you will need for the ditty.

Next “fred talk” the green words you will need for the ditty.

After that read the red words you will need for the ditty.

Then read the ditty.


Year 1 For your warm up today I would like you to count to 100.

Count to 100 Song Jack Hartmann

Today we are going to count amounts of objects up to 100. If we count in 1s this could take a while so we can make sets of 10 and ones to count quickly. 

I can see 2 sets 10 and some ones so I can count quickly to find the total – 10, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 


I know I can see two 10s which make 20 and I can see 8 ones so 20 and 8 more is 28.

Now you are going to have a go at counting large amounts of objects in 10s and 1s.

Blue group – For your maths warm up today write all the numbers to 20 in order. Show them to a grown up to check them.

Today we are going to complete some addition number sentences using numbers up to 20.


Year 1 – Today we are going to be looking at a text about taking care of a dog. It is non-fiction. Read the information to a grown up and then answer the questions. Remember to go back and find the answers in the text.

Blue group – Today you are going to reading sentences about a child. Read the sentences to a grown up then answer the questions.


In Geography this term we have been looking at The United Kingdom. We have looked at England and Scotland. Now it is time to look at Wales.

Look at the power point to find out about Wales.
