Monday 9th November 2020
Happy Monday guys, welcome back to our learning.
Let’s get our bodies moving with a good tune… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziLHZeKbMUo
For today’s learning we have…
RWI
Remember to practise your sounds daily. RWI will be holding daily virtual lessons for children to practise their sounds:
Click on the link for Set 1 sounds.
There is also “Storytime with Nick” and some poems that your child can learn and perform.
Handwriting:
Today we are practising the letter ‘w’. Remember lead in, stop, slither down the snake.
Literacy
Recap our previous learning; a noun is a naming word like ball, pencil, cloth. An adjective is a describing word like blue, big, soft. A verb is a doing word; run, clap, jump.
Today we are going to be learning about the alphabet. Can you say the alphabet? Go to the literacy page to see our alphabet song. Look at the pictures on the worksheet. Match the initial sound to each picture, then order the pictures in alphabetical order.
Maths
G/Y/O/R groups:
Today we are going to be recapping our learning of more than, less than and equal to. First let’s warm our brains up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTeUqWGCKjA
Now we need to look at each picture or number and think about which is the biggest and which is the smallest. Now use the < (less than), > (more than) or = sign correctly.
Blue group:
Today you are going to recap our numbers to 10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR-cfDsHCGA
Today you are going to look at pictures and decide which picture has the most and which has the least. Order the pictures from the least to the most.
Phonics
Green & Yellow groups: Using your set 2 sounds read and write the words then use one of these words to write a sentence.
Red & Orange groups: Fred talk carefully and use your Fred fingers to spell words using special friends.
Blue group: This afternoon we are going to think about initial sounds. Say what is in the picture and circle the sound you can hear.
