Grammar – adjectives

Today I would like you to practise using adjectives in your writing. An adjective is a word that describes an animal, person or thing. Adjectives include words that describe what something looks like and what it feels like to touch, taste, or smell. Adjectives can be colours and words that describe temperatures and sizes.

Year 1 – Watch this video about adjectives. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2vgjNoE4Xs

Once you have done this you can complete your learning on adjectives.

Blue group - click on the document to find the missing colour adjectives

Year 2 – Watch this video about adjectives and complete the quiz below the video.

Maths

Year 1 - Maths

For our maths warm up let’s test those brains with our number bonds to 10: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

Press the number that you need to add to the one at the top to make 10.

Your learning for today is multiplication, this means we are going to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. Use the power point to see what I want you to do. Now try the worksheet.

Remember to practise your times tables with Times Tables Rock Stars. If you need your log in details please email me and I will send them to you.

Blue group let’s start off by counting to 20:

Science

In science we are going to be focusing on materials. Today we are going to check if you can identify an object and the material it is made of.  If you do not have a printer you can always tell your grown up the name of the object and what it is made. Now take a look around your home. Can you can see any other objects and work out what materials they are made from?
